DDA3 Eye Of Traldar is a pretty good module. It is very well laid out, the players have a clear path to take to get through the module, there are a lot of enemies and attacking - everything I like. It may not be finished in a single night, but there are several excellent stopping points built into the module. Something else I love - this adventure is continued in DDA4 The Dymrak Dread. Overall - man - I love this module - kill and kill some more!
What would I do differently? Well, not much. The main thing - levels 1-2? You've got to be kidding me! There are a TON of opponents to fight in this module. A bunch of first-level characters will be decimated! I'd say at a minimum you'd want a party of character levels 3-4 - the levels can be even higher and the opponent strength and numbers easily adjusted to put up a fight. Getting involved with the Iron Ring - that just sounds like adventures that could tie in with B10 Night's Dark Terror. But let's see what DDA4 The Dymrak Dread has in store for us...
