DA4 The Duchy of Ten, in keeping with the entire Blackmoor series, is light on formal adventure paths and heavy on describing the surroundings and presenting a wide open adventure to the party to tackle. There are various plot twists to keep the adventure interesting and innumerable ways for the party to approach this module. The main objective is the destruction of a very powerful magical item - but the module goes into great detail about the Afridhi occupation of the Duchy of Ten - including very detailed troop strengths and population numbers.
In this module, the characters could very easily fall in with the rebellion and start practicing hit and run tactics on the Afridhi army, along with galvanizing the Tenians into action against their oppressors, along with drawing those remaining Tenians that are living in exile back into Duchy lands in order to win back their freedom. It could be a pretty long and drawn out affair with lots of killing and bloodshed. Sounds pretty good doesn't it?
